Colonization Historical Novels
Students were given 2 1/2 months to read one of six historical novels related to colonization. They were to: 1) Read the novel, 2) complete the novel summaries on pgs 60-61, 3) Complete the Historical Character summaries on pgs 62-63. 4) Complete the text specific Novel questions (for their novel only) on pgs 64-75 and 5) Complete one novel project on pg 76. Grading Rubrics (grading standards) for the completed Novel Assignment are available on pgs. 77-78 in the workbook. To access a full description of the assignment, copies of the handouts, and audio podcasts of the novel, click on the novel icon on the left.
